A REDIRECT contribution was featured at Libri Come Democrazia, the 17th edition of the festival of books and reading held at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome. This year’s edition was dedicated to democracy and brought together scholars, writers, and public intellectuals to reflect on one of the most central and contested concepts of our time.

As part of the programme, Luca Verzichelli, Principal Investigator of the REDIRECT project, took part in a discussion with Giuliano Amato on Giovanni Sartori’s Democrazia e definizioni. The conversation revisited one of the classic texts of political science and reflected on its continuing relevance for contemporary debates on democracy, representation, and political thought.

It was great to see REDIRECT represented in a major public festival dedicated to democracy, and to see foundational questions in political science brought into dialogue with a broader audience.
