Jan Krętkowski, holder of a bachelor’s degree in political science from the Pedagogical University of Krakow and currently a sociology student at the Jagiellonian University (MA thesis defense scheduled for July 2025), is a research assistant at the Institute of European Studies at the Jagiellonian University. His academic interests focus on the phenomenon of post-truth and the use of manipulative strategies, particularly in traditional and social media during presidential and parliamentary election campaigns in Poland. He explores how media messages shape public opinion and contribute to social polarization. Jan has been involved in the REDIRECT and EUEast-G-PL projects, assisting with tasks such as organizing and transcribing interviews, translating research materials, and analyzing media and parliamentary discourse.
