Małgorzata Fijał, Ph.D., is a research assistant at the Institute of European Studies at Jagiellonian University. Her academic interests include the culture and politics of contemporary Italy, as well as issues related to identity and the socio-cultural dimensions of nationalism and populism. Currently, she is involved in three EU-funded Horizon Europe projects: REDIRECT – The Representative Disconnect: Diagnosis and Strategies for Rectification, SHAPEDEM-EU – Rethinking and Reshaping the EU’s Democracy Support in its Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood and RECLAIM – Reclaiming Liberal Democracy in the Postfactual Age. Her work continues to explore these themes, contributing to research on contemporary European politics and society.
