On March 13, 2023, Professor Magdalena Góra (Jagiellonian University) participated in the public debate “New order. How to clear Poland of chaos?”, held in Warsaw and organised by the Res Publica Foundation.

The event provided a timely opportunity to reflect on the democratic challenges currently facing Poland and to explore potential paths for institutional and political renewal.

Professor Góra’s contribution drew directly from her research within the REDIRECT project. Her intervention introduced key elements of the project’s conceptual framework, particularly the notion of representative disconnect—a central theme in REDIRECT’s analysis of contemporary democracy in Europe.

By connecting the Polish context with REDIRECT’s broader research agenda, the debate served as an early and important occasion to disseminate the project’s ideas and stimulate national dialogue on democratic restoration.
