REDIRECT research was presented during a “researcher relay” event in Oslo, where John Erik Fossum introduced the project’s core research questions and objectives. The presentation, titled The Representative Disconnect: Diagnosis and Strategies for Rectification, offered a concise overview of the challenges facing contemporary representative democracy and the research agenda developed within the REDIRECT project.
The talk highlighted the concept of “representative disconnect” and outlined the project’s efforts to better understand the growing gap between citizens and political institutions, as well as possible strategies to address it. The event provided an opportunity to raise awareness of the project’s research themes and engage a broader academic audience with REDIRECT’s work.
The session gathered around 65 participants and contributed to disseminating the project’s key ideas within the wider research community.
