Guest Lecture in Siena: EU Politics in a Turbulent Era
On 20 October, Professor Maurizio Cotta will give a guest lecture as part of the University of Siena’s European Union Politics course.
The session will present and discuss Cotta’s new book, EU Politics in a Turbulent Era: From National Problems to European Solutions, published by Edward Elgar in 2026. The title raises a central question for the study of European politics: how can problems that begin at the national level be addressed through European solutions?
The lecture will offer students and other participants an opportunity to discuss the book and reflect on the challenges facing EU politics today. The event will take place in person at the Presidio Mattioli, with a remote connection also available.
Location: Room 2, Presidio Mattioli, Siena
Date and time: Tuesday, 20 October 2026, 12:00–13:45
