During the first General Assembly held in Brussels at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in November 2023 the Steering Committee convened to assess the project’s progress and plan the next phase of activities. This meeting brought together key partners and members of the Scientific Advisory Board, providing a valuable opportunity for collaborative reflection and strategic planning. The Committee conducted a comprehensive review of milestones achieved to date, evaluating the status of ongoing deliverables in light of the project’s broader objectives.
Discussions focused on aligning current efforts with the established timeline, identifying any potential bottlenecks, and proposing adjustments where needed to ensure timely completion. Emphasis was placed on cross-partner coordination, with several working groups presenting updates on their contributions and outlining the next steps. Special attention was given to deliverables related to capacity-building, stakeholder engagement, and dissemination, with concrete deadlines agreed upon to maintain momentum.
In addition to reviewing technical progress, the Assembly served as a forum for addressing operational challenges, sharing best practices, and reinforcing a shared commitment to excellence and collaboration. The Steering Committee’s decisions helped clarify responsibilities and reinforce accountability across the consortium.
Overall, the meeting in Brussels marked a crucial moment in the project’s development, helping to solidify the roadmap for the coming months and reaffirm the collective commitment to achieving impactful outcomes.
The meeting has been enriched by a Key-note speech by Alfio Mastropaolo on “Representation and the Invention of Modern Politics”.
